10 years of Water Framework Directive:
The Water Framework Directive, published in 2000, sets ambitious goals in the European water pollution control. By 2009, the first management plans and measures were worked out and published. Some action has been taken for the protection of water, but many questions and problems remain unanswered or unresolved. Below it will be taken stock of expectations and fears, claims and reality.
