Das Feld der Attributionsforschung und seine Beziehung zur Gesellschaft

Die Attributionsforschung stellt einen kausalen Zusammenhang zwischen dem Klimawandel und einzelnen Extremwetterereignissen wie Hitzewellen oder Überflutungen her. Dadurch ist sie in der Gesellschaft, etwa für Medien, Politik und Recht, besonders relevant.

In einer Interviewstudie sind wir der Frage nachgegangen, wie an Attributionsstudien beteiligte und kritische Klimawissenschaftlerinnen und -wissenschaftler ihre Rolle, und die ihrer Forschung, in der Gesellschaft sehen.

The field of attribution research and its relationship to society

Extreme event attribution research establishes a causal link between climate change and individual extreme weather events such as heatwaves or flooding. This makes it particularly relevant in society, for example for the media, politics and for litigation.

In an interview study, we investigated the question of how involved and critical climate scientists see their role, and that of their research, in society.

La investigación sobre atribuciones establece una relación causal entre el cambio climático y fenómenos meteorológicos extremos concretos, como olas de calor o inundaciones.
